U-ball Live: Juventus are reportedly keen to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba. The Frenchman’s contract with the Red Devils expires at the end of the season.Despite repeated offers of a new contract, he seems likely to leave in the summer.Pogba is also reported to be interested in a move to Juventus, where he spent four years.According to Rudy Galletti, the bianconeri will offer Pogba’s agent Mino Laiola a four-year deal worth 9 million euros a season. That would be a drop from his current salary of 15 million euros, but he could accept it given his readiness to leave the Red Devils.Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have also been linked with the France midfielder.Pogba came out of Manchester United’s academy before moving to the old Lady in 2012.He spent four successful years at the club, improving his performances each season.Pogba scored 34 goals and made 40 assists in 178 appearances for the bianconeri. That prompted Manchester United to sign him for a club-record £89m in 2016.However, since his return to Old Trafford, Pogba has been inconsistent and has had to deal with a number of injuries. As a result, leaving the club in the summer seems likely. It will be interesting to see if the 28-year-old eventually returns to Juventus. The bianconeri have struggled in the past few seasons.A lot of that has to do with inconsistency in their midfield.Adrien Rabiot and Arthur Melo did not perform as well as Juventus fans had hoped. They signed Dusan Vlahovic and Denis Zakaria in the January transfer window. But they need players like Pogba to link defence with attack and create opportunities for their attackers.
